ARE YOU A FLERKEN?
Above Jenny wears "Flerken top" i Intense blue for 1450,- with "T-Dress" in Intense blue for 1600,- underneath. The top is a good match to "Flerken trousers" in Intense blue for 1350,- as you see to the right.
I've named these sporty garments in energetic colors "Flerken." The sturdy material makes the garments keep their shape, almost sculptural. Both the fabric and the choice of colors hint at something from decades ago. Decades where gender roles were prominent, and the tough grind on the inside was glamorized from the outside. A good example could be those PanAm girls from the 60s. Always so precise and correct.
But even though I'm seduced by this whole hostess in uniform thing, I can't escape the fact that I want to create clothes that work. They should be soft, flexible, and strong in their expression. Clothes that accompany you in everyday life, clothes that help you be feminine without reinforcing the unfair label of "the weaker sex."
Above Jenny wears"Flerken skirt" in wein til 1300,- together with "Classic Turtle sweater" til 1350,- in the color sea.
Clothes for strong women. Women who no longer allow themselves to be pushed around... But isn't this a cliché? Does the world need reminding, or is it us who need to remind ourselves of this? Because what image do we want to have of ourselves? Are we the gentle, caring individuals who meet everyone's needs, both in jobs and families, with responsibilities and demands? Are we also the ones who squeeze in workouts, self-acceptance, breathing, and all of that?
Above Jenny wears "Flerken top" in petrol for 1450,- and "Flerken trousers" in petrol for 1350,-.
So here I am, one evening at the cinema with popcorn in the armrest, while the new collection and thoughts about women bounce around in my head like ping pong balls. Where am I going with this? Aren't we women not satisfied until we tick all the boxes, both the demands of the past and the present? I recline my chair in my premium seat at Ringen cinema to a full horizontal. I've finished work, finished my workout, and I'm ready to enjoy my greatest guilty pleasure—movies with superheroes.
Iron Man.
I’m not gonna fight your war, I’m gonna end it».
The revelation occurs in a scene where our heroes stand powerless against the enemy. A Flerken actually has several tentacles with sharp teeth inside its mouth. When needed, these tentacles are unfurled from the mouth at a furious speed, taking down anyone who dares to challenge. Similarly, a Flerken can swallow entire galaxies and store them within, where there is infinite space and infinite time.
So, I think anyone wearing these Flerken clothes is a bit of a superhero and a mysterious house cat at the same time. In the hustle and bustle of everyday life, it's good to remember who you are and what you're capable of—truly.
Like bang, bang, there's where the wardrobe stands. Throw out a tentacle, swoosh! Swallow a secret universe! You might see a house cat, yes, if only you knew!!
I’m not a cat... ;)
