Steam iron on wool garments gives the best results. Iron on the inside to avoid breakdown. A woolen garment is completely washed and cleaned from the factory. The wool fiber, which has a natural corkscrew shape, is pressed flat. When washing, the wool fiber pulls back to its natural shape and becomes round. The garment can then feel like it has shrunk without this being the case. If you iron it, it will return to it´s original shape.
